Who we are
Visit Mount Etna was founded by Vincenzo Modica, a certified volcanological guide with years of experience leading visitors through the landscapes of Europe's most active volcano. His passion for Etna, combined with deep knowledge of its geology, history and culture, is the backbone of every excursion — from summit tours at 3,300 m to family walks among the birches.
We live and work on the volcano all year round. That means real-time knowledge of conditions, routes that adapt to what the mountain is actually doing today, and the kind of stories you only collect by being up there every day.
