Is Mount Etna safe to visit?

Yes. All excursions follow the official regulations set by Civil Protection. If volcanic activity or adverse weather creates risks, itineraries are modified or canceled for safety reasons.

When is the best time to visit Mount Etna?

Mount Etna can be visited all year. Summer (June–September) offers warm weather and long days, while winter allows visitors to enjoy snow-covered landscapes and skiing opportunities. Spring and autumn are perfect for hiking thanks to mild temperatures and fewer crowds.

What types of tours are available?

We offer different experiences: summit hikes, 4×4 Jeep adventures, quad tours, family walks such as Mount Sartorius, and wine & food experiences on Etna’s slopes.

Do I need to be very fit for a summit hike?

Yes. The summit crater hike requires good physical condition and endurance. It is not recommended for people with heart or respiratory problems, recent injuries, or mobility limitations.

Can children join Etna tours?

Children are welcome on family-friendly itineraries such as the Sartorius trail and other low-altitude walks. Summit crater hikes are usually restricted to participants aged 12 and above.

What should I wear and bring for an Etna excursion?

Is equipment provided?

What is the weather like on Mount Etna?

The weather is unpredictable. Temperatures are often 10–15 °C colder than on the coast. Wind, fog, and sudden storms can occur at any time of year, so proper clothing is essential.
